Pinellas County, Florida -- The Housing Finance Authority of Pinellas County is sponsoring a Community Real Estate Development program at the University of South Florida.

The district is urging parents to register their children for the 2012-2014 school year by this date. To register for kindergarten children must:

  • Be 5 years old on or before September 1
  • Be able to show proof of residency
  • Have a Florida Certificate of Immunization
  • Have a physical examination certificate

Pinellas Schools Helpline staffed with certified guidance counselor

Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County School District announced Monday that in addition to providing homework help, the Pinellas County Schools Homework Helpline is now staffed with a certified guidance counselor to assist families who have questions about guidance-related issues.

The counselor can answer questions about promotion and graduation requirements and provide guidance about college, careers and other important topics.

Late app process for magnet, fundamental and career academy programs opens

Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County Schools announced it began accepting late applications for magnet, fundamental and career academy programs on Monday, March 11.

Interested families must apply using the district’s online Student Reservation System.

Program representatives will contact families of students who are selected to participate in application programs. The district is urging families to make sure their phone numbers are correct in the Student Information System.
