Man arrested after injuring 4 during bar stabbing

Indian Rocks Beach, Florida -- Just after 11 p.m. Sunday night deputies responded to a disturbance at the Red Lion Pub in Indian Rocks Beach. 

When they got there, they learned three people had been stabbed and the suspect, later identified as 50-year-old James Klingbeil, was being held down by patrons of the bar.

Witnesses told deputies, Klingbeil went at the Red Lion earlier in the evening for a drink but the bartender refused to sell alcohol to him because he was already highly intoxicated. The two argued and Klingbeil left the bar.

Credit card thief sought in Pinellas

Dunedin, Florida -- Pinellas County detectives are asking for public's help in identifying a burglar who's been using his victim's credit cards.

Detectives say on Feb. 19, the man pictured above burglarized a home in Dunedin, then later that same day, broke into a car in Indian Rocks Beach.

They later discovered that credit cards taken during the burglaries were used at several locations in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

Man impersonates being firefighter for free food, drinks

St. Petersburg, Florida -- A man was arrested at his Clearwater home Wednesday morning on charges he impersonated a firefighter so he could get free food and drinks at various locations, including All Children's Hospital.

St. Pete Police say 22-year-old Robert Spalla represented himself to employees at All Children's Hospital as a firefighter who has been with the St. Pete Fire Department for the past five years.

During their interactions with Spalla, hospital employees told police he would ask for special privileges such as food vouchers or gas cards.

Homeless Pasco murder suspect arrested

Sarasota, Florida -- The homeless man wanted by Pasco Sheriff's deputies for allegedly killing another homeless man on Jan. 26 was arrested by Sarasota police Friday morning.

St. Pete Beach, Florida -- From 1957 until last Sunday morning, St. Pete Beach had its own police department separate from the county. That changed at 7 a.m. Sunday, when, following the will of the voting majority, the City shuttered its police department and brought in the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) to police city streets.

Arsonist hits St. Pete neighborhood for 5th time

St. Petersburg, Florida -- A new year apparently hasn't brought a renewed sense of peace to a St. Petersburg community plagued by a rogue arsonist.

St. Pete Police say the community was hit with its fifth arson attempt last night at a vacant home in the 100 block of 79th Street South in the Causeway Isles neighborhood.

Man charged with stealing over $560K from local condo associations

Pinellas Beaches, Florida -- A Seminole man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing over $560,000 from local condominium associations.

Pinellas County Sheriff's detectives say while 45-year-old Roberto Velez was working as the Chief Financial Officer for Total Realty Services (TRS), he embezzled money from 10 condominium associations and his employer over the last three-and-a-half years.
